SNEAK PEEK: Lost Lane Dublin Opens Its Doors This Weekend
/in Latest News /by Mr.HotspotsDublin's exciting new live music and late night bar, LOST LANE has unveiled first look images, ahead of its official opening, this Friday 12th April.
Music and emerging talent will be at the heart of Lost Lane, as the venue seeks to create and maintain a reputation as the home of live music in Dublin. Artists will span a diverse range of acts from across the Irish and international music scene, and genres from rock and indie, to jazz and trad bands.
Music lovers can expect to see collaborative line ups that will feature renowned household names (e.g. Wyvern Lingo, Delorentos) alongside some of Ireland’s up and coming talent. Through Lost Lane, The Porterhouse Group seek to provide a platform to shine a light on the ones to watch within the music industry and create a sense of community for the music and entertainment scene. A fresh new space where all are welcome, to enjoy good music and good times.
From Thursdays through Saturdays, Lost Lane will also play host to live DJ sets from the likes of DJ Nialler9 and friends to Lost & Sound (a new female DJ collaboration with Sally Cinnamon, Claire Beck and Kate Brennan-Harding) who will see Lost Lane into the early hours. Monday nights will become the go to for industry stalwarts with free entry live music gigs and residencies from bands like Showguns of Stank (Mick Pyro and Pete Pamf) and The Square Pegs. The perfect solution for musicians and industry workers looking for somewhere to party on their night off and Dubliners looking to kick start their week with a night out.
Substantial investment has been made to respectfully restore and preserve the venue’s Georgian structure and details alongside updating and installing state of the art sound and lighting, acoustic treatment and set design that will promise a complete immersive live music experience. Elliot Hughes, partner at The Porterhouse Group, comments:
Lost Lane will give people the opportunity to see bands in a really intimate setting. We’ve broken the piggy bank so that we can get the absolute best in sound and lighting. We’ve stripped it back in terms of décor as we want the focus to be on the artists, allowing people to really get lost in the music without distractions of decorative bells and whistles.
A lot of work has gone into the new venue over the last couple of months and Lost Lane’s prime central location at the bottom of Grafton Street in the heart of the city is going to promise must see gigs, up and coming acts, and late-night residencies every weekend. We’re excited for the launch and to finally unveil Dublin’s new live music venue.
Lost Lane will officially open to the public on Friday 12th April, 2019 with a limited number of tickets on sale to attend. Friday’s line up will feature Kormac’s Big Band and DJ Nialler9 whilst Saturday will play host to Turning Pirate Mix Tape with guest singers Niamh Farrell (Ham Sandwich), Cathy Davey and more surprise special guests.
Open seven days a week from 7pm – late, entry for the main acts will be ticketed until 11pm. From 11pm, DJs will take over from the billed band and the venue will open to non-ticket holders. With a capacity of 280 during live performances, and 600 overall, Lost Lane is set to become the place to be in Dublin.
